RECAP:

From the opening testimonies of God’s goodness to the closing song of praise, there was a special spirit evident as the Body of Christ assembled yesterday! I am grateful for our congregation’s unashamed love for Jesus! In case you missed it, yesterday’s bulletin can be found here.

Yesterday’s message was centered on rehearsing the actions of Jesus in the days leading up to the triumphant entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem. We saw why the crowds believed and truly cheered Jesus as the Messiah. Yet, the worshipful shouts of Sunday turned to disappointed silence on Friday. Is that what happens to our hearts as well when we believe God has failed to meet our expectations? The message can be found on our website, YouTube channel, Spotify podcast, or iTunes podcast.

Thank you to Ron Keyser, Jerry Turner, and those who participated in the work day last Saturday for the wood cutting ministry. What a blessing your labor for the Lord will be for the needy in our community. Also, in our members’ meeting, the congregation approved the updated member covenant, Lisa League as Assistant Missions Treasurer, and Daleen Purdie for membership.

REMIND:

STUDENT MINISTRIES AND LIFE GROUPS: After a well-deserved rest over Spring Break week, middle school youth group, kids’ ministry, and adult Life Groups ministries resume as normal this week. Come join in! We’d love to have you!

GOOD FRIDAY: As a way to purposely pause and reflect on the crucifixion of Jesus, we will host a Good Friday service on Friday, April 15, at 6:30 p.m. Through Scripture, song, and the Lord’s Supper, we will remember the atoning sacrifice of Jesus at Calvary.

EASTER SUNDAY: On Easter Sunday, we will celebrate the glorious resurrection of our Lord and Savior from the tomb of death by hosting two morning worship services—at 9 & 11 a.m. There will be no Life Groups or Sunday school. Come celebrate with us—and invite your loved ones and friends to join us!
