RECAP:

With the quick snow we experienced this weekend, Psalm 147:16-18 is so fitting. The psalmist speaks of the Lord giving snow like wool, scattering frost like ashes, and hurling down the crystals of ice (16-17)—and then asks, “who can stand before His cold?” But then we read how God sends out His word and melts them—the wind blows and the water flows. What a beautiful picture of God’s power and His grace!

MEMBERS' MEETING: We held a members’ meeting yesterday morning at 9:30 filled with updates of the church ministries—everything from youth, missions, kids, and leadership. The three items listed below will be up for vote on Sunday, March 27, after the morning service. Please reach out to a deacon or pastor if you have any questions.

  1. An updated member covenant (the document can be viewed here)
  2. Lisa League to serve as Assistant Missions Treasurer
  3. Daleen Purdie for membership

DEACON ORDINATION: A time of ordination and commissioning with our deacons took place yesterday morning as well. It is such a blessing to partner with such humble servants to God. Our deacons this year are Trent & Nicky Clark, Bill & Maria Copeland, Jim & Renee Grandstaff, Dave & Judy Guzy, Tommy & Erica Lucas, and Caleb & Alexander Routhier.

THE DANCE OF THE TRINITY: Yesterday’s message in Philippians 2 was centered on “the dance of the Trinity”—a phrase used by Tim Keller and C. S. Lewis to describe the perfect love of the Godhead. The submissive and exalting love expressed by the three natures of God is to be our pattern in marriage and relationships. We closed the service by taking the Lord's Supper together. The message can be found on our websiteYouTube channelSpotify podcast, or iTunes podcast.

For all the latest information, opportunities, and announcements, yesterday’s bulletin can be found here
