RECAP:

What an amazing gathering we enjoyed yesterday morning at Mt. Carmel! It is such an incredible joy to be a part of the family of God!

Five families dedicated their homes to be places where their children would be taught to know God, grow in God, show the love of God, and go to others with God—and the church pledged to partner with these families for the glory of God! The baby dedication service can be viewed here. The children were Carleigh Cash (Jeff & Kaitlyn), Eden Fidler (Matt & Whitley), Dawson Gillenwater (Trey & Bryanna), Sadie McQuillan (Landon & Jenni), Esther Routhier (Caleb & Alexander).

We were privileged to have Jeff Keaton, the president of Renewanation, share an inspiring, moving, and challenging message on “Six Reasons We Must Give our Children and Grandchildren a Biblical Worldview.” I cannot overemphasize the importance of this message to the entire church family! If you missed it, please, please, please take the time to watch or listen to it. The message can be found on our websiteYouTube channelSpotify podcast, or iTunes podcast.

REMIND:

We did not make any announcements yesterday, so please take a look at the bulletin if you did not get one. You can access it here.

LIFE GROUPS:  Each Tuesday morning at 10:30, a group of ladies meet for a Bible study in the Grove House. On Wednesdays, Carolyn Palmer and Jamie Hasse are leading a Life Group walking through the Book of Hebrews—and Frank Good is walking a group through the Gospel of Luke.

STUDENT MINISTRY: May our hearts have been greatly encouraged to our children in a place where they can receive the Word of God every week! We have Sunday school each week at 9:30, High school Youth Group each Sunday evening at 6, and Middle school Youth Group along with Kids’ Ministry each Wednesday night at 7. As lead disciple-makers in the home, parents are welcomed (but not required) to join us in Kids’ Ministry each week!

MEMBERS’ MEETING: There will be a members’ meeting on Sunday, March 13, at 9:30 a.m. in the cafeteria. It will be a time of rejoicing in what God is doing in our church through testimonies, updates, and discussion. Please make plans now to join us. While there will be no adult Life Groups on this Sunday, the regular kids’ Sunday school classes will still be meeting.

BRIDAL SHOWER: All the ladies of the church are invited to a bridal shower for Lauren Nichols on Sunday, March 13, at 4 p.m. in the church cafeteria. Lauren is registered at amazon.com and Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Also, bring your favorite recipes for Lauren. Please RSVP if you plan to attend to 540.244.2570 by March 10.

PASTOR MICAH PICTURE FRAME: We presented a digital picture frame to Pastor Micah and his family as a way to stay connected while his family prepares for their mission work in Poland. Would you consider sending a photo to them? Any picture sent to griffith-family@ourskylight.com will be automatically uploaded to their frame for his family to see you and pray for you.

RESOURCE:

Renewanation brought some great resources yesterday for sale. I loved hearing of the story behind the book 50 Things Every Child Needs to Know Before Leaving Home. That resource can be found at the Renewanation website here or on Amazon here. And the book every Christian should read is Biblical Worldview—that can be found on their website here or on Amazon here. I pray these resources are a tremendous blessing to your home—and the next 100 years.
