Good Evening, Mt. Carmel Family!

I’m going to regularly communicate with you this week—most likely every day. Because along with honoring and praying for our educators in both services this Sunday, we have some new ministry opportunities available to the church family. And I do not want to leave anyone confused as to what is taking place this Sunday.

Based on the results of the survey we sent out many weeks ago, we began making plans for the return of adult Life Groups, teen Sunday school, kids’ Sunday school, and the church nursery. Today, all I want to do is give you a short overview of what is taking place with each of these ministries.

ADULT LIFE GROUPS

On Sunday, September 20, we will begin our Life Groups again. We will offer two Life Groups on Sunday morning, two on Sunday night, and two on Wednesday night. These Life Groups will be meeting every other Sunday. All the groups will be covering the same subject material (The Book of Romans with Tim Keller), so there is no need to attend multiple Life Groups. Just choose the one that best fits your life rhythm: Sunday morning, Sunday night, or Wednesday night.

Because of social distancing concerns—and because some Life Groups will be meeting in homes—it would be a great help if you could sign up for the Life Group you would like to attend. The best way would be to log on to our website and click a Life Group. (Here is the link.) You will be directed to an online signup site that will reserve your spot.

Here are the adult Life Groups:

Sunday, Sept 20, 10 a.m.: Gordon DeMeritt (Room 19) and Jim Grandstaff (Room 1)

Sunday Evening, Sept 20: John Thomas (at his home) and Andy Caviness (at Bryan't Burrill's home)

Wednesday, Sept 23 at 7 p.m.: Frank Good (Men: Room 15) and Carolyn Palmer (Ladies: Room 16)

TEEN SUNDAY SCHOOL

All teens, Grades 6-12, will meet with Pastor Micah at 10 a.m. in the Grove House.

KIDS’ SUNDAY SCHOOL

We are asking that that children follow the same protocols that we are using for MCCA. Their temperature will be checked at the entrance, and we ask that they wear a mask until they arrive at their seat. Kids, ages 2-5, will meet Bill and Maria Copeland in the cafeteria at 10 a.m. Kids, ages 1st-5th grade, will meet Kyle and Jamie Seal in the cafeteria at 10 a.m.

NURSERY

Christa Dorrough will be opening the nursery for children 2 and under during the Life Group/Sunday school hour from 10-11 a.m. All the workers will pass a health screen, and the temperature of each child will be checked at the entrance. Please note that the nursery is only during the Life Group/Sunday school hour. The nursery will not remain open during the church service. The cafeteria is available for families who desire to view the worship service on-site in a family-friendly environment. If this information leaves you with any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at pastor@mcrbc.org.

Please be in prayer for this Sunday--and for Jesus to be glorified in all we do as a church family. I love you all!

Pastor Brian
