Good Evening, Mt. Carmel!

I know that the shutdown and subsequent slow return to church these past many months has made it difficult for our church family to get together! I sure do miss seeing the multitude of smiles, hearing a large chorus of voices going acapella, and sharing hugs with those I love. But the silver lining is that I haven't had to put up with Kenny Ramey's sarcasm for a while. :)

While I have tried my best to keep the church informed of the ministry and business decisions we have made during this COVID-19 pandemic, I am certain that I have failed somewhere in getting out specific pieces of information to you. I apologize in advance for that.

In the June-August update I handed out two Sundays ago, I included the information that this Wednesday, September 2, we would be holding a business meeting. It is the first meeting we have called since the shutdown in March. We will be meeting at 7 p.m. in the auditorium.

Knowing many of you would not be able to attend in person, I am sending all the information we will be covering tomorrow to the membership list. I am including both a bullet-point agenda that simply covers the highlights -- as well as a full, detailed report of all that we will be covering. The only thing you will not receive is a short introduction to the evening (and maybe a terrible joke or two). lol.

The link below will take you to our website where you will be able to view and/or download the bullet-point agenda and the more detailed version.

Because there were no recommendations to the congregation that resulted from our August 16 deacons' meeting, there are no specific items on the agenda requiring a vote from the congregation tomorrow. This meeting is simply to make sure everyone is informed of all the business that has transpired since the shutdown back in March.

As you will notice in the detailed report, God has blessed the faithful, consistent giving of our congregation throughout these past six months. How humbled I am to be a part of such a generous and gracious church whose hearts are so full of Gospel love and grace that not even a worldwide pandemic can slow down the mission of the assembly of believers at Mt. Carmel! Thank you for showing such amazing love for Jesus!

If you have any questions about what I shared, please feel free to reply to this e-mail or send one to pastor@mcrbc.org. I love you all! May God's blessings in Jesus continue to rain down on you and yours!
