Praises:
Pastor Caviness will celebrate his 85th birthday on August 24th. We would like to celebrate all that he is and has been to our church family by having a card shower for him. Please send cards to this address: Pastor Caviness, Whispering Pines Assisted Living, 200 Leaksville Road, Luray, Va. 22835.
Special Requests:
Pastor and Jamie: transition to the church they have been called to as well as their adjustment to many family changes.
Wisdom for our church leadership as they plan for a transition and pastoral search. Also pray for one another as we journey together through this transition.
MCCA: Needs to fill several positions: Art teacher / Spanish Teacher / Morning Care and After Care Supervisor
Physical Issues:
Jim Raines: struggling with mobility issues
Cheryl Vile: will be having knee surgery on August 11th
Aubrey Owens: has been ill and is undergoing tests
Billy Grandstaff: will be having surgery on August 18th for stones in kidney and bladder
Robert Seal: (Ricky Seals father) has colon cancer, will be having surgery
Ruth (Sharon Tucker’s aunt) – battling cancer, pray for Salvation
Doris Fox: (mother of Renee Grandstaff) grieving the recent loss of her husband
Ruby Kite: (Kevin Kites mother) Has breast cancer and will be undergoing treatments
Vickie Smoot: having memory issues and will be going through some tests
Catherine Mishler: ( Britiney Fitzwater's mother) suffered a stroke and is currently in rehab
Tony Woodall: Barbara Risley’s son, recently diagnosed with cancer; waiting for a biopsy and PET scan
Pastor Caviness: declining health due to Parkinson’s disease
Melinda: (Charlotte's Smeltzers sister) Has an ovarian mass and will be having surgery
Mozell Turner: Jerry Turner’s mom, health needs
Cheryl Campbell: (friend of Janet Turner) health
Lewis Jenkins: (grandfather of Michael Jenkins) declining health
Irene Bradley: continued prayers for her muscle disease to improve and her cancer to remain in remission
David Thomas: brother of John Thomas, undergoing serious health issues
Jim Keyser: father of Carol Butler; has health needs and needs assurance of salvation
Peggy Reed: her cancer has returned and is asking for prayer
Bonnie Bradley: friend of Betty Seal, health, spiritual needs
Myrtle Thompson: Having issues with her leg and her foot
Sue and Bill Peters: (Neighbors of Ron Keyser) Both are having health issues
Ron Marcus: Struggling with his hip and his back
